jumping on the bandwagon

okay, i have totally jumped on the identi.ca bandwagon. for all that don’t know, it is a FOSS alternative to twitter that uses Laconica. I’m not sure how much i will use it until it integrates better with some of the services that i already use (mainly twitter and facebook). Also, a firefox addon wouldn’t go astray either.

fresh inkscape tutorials at the inkscape tutorials blog

after a month or so of laziness, i have finally updated the inkscape tutorials blog with 3 fresh tutorials for all to try!

• using inkscape to illustrate tomatoes
• a simple drop shadow tutorial for inkscape
• drawing chain links in inkscape

does anyone actually read / use the tutorials that i post over there? or should i not bother posting fresh inkscape tutorials at all?

FUDcon ribbons

If you are lucky enough to be at FUDCon this weekend, and want to tell everyone on the planet, you can add a special FUDcon ribbon to your hackergotchi. Check out my awesome example below: (the cartoon head is a creation of nicu’s)

So if you want to create your own FUDCon hackergotchi follow my simple steps:

1. download the template in SVG format
2. open it up in Inkscape
3. add your hackergotchi
4. export the document to PNG
