The 0.46 release is going to be really feature-packed. One of the simple, yet highly useful changes that has been implemented is that now gradients can be edited on canvas, rather than forcing you to use the Gradient Editor. I have done a little screencast of how easy gradient editing is now, (or will be when version 0.46 comes out…)

Hi, Nice life saving tutor.
BTW, How you are able to add intermediate gradient stops with out using gridients dialog ?, Is there any modifier key that we need to use to add stops on the fly ?
Thanks, Will soon check back for reply.

You just have to double-clic on the gradient line to make the new stop appear.
